Schools today face risks across multiple fronts — and those risks don't stop at the campus gate. From physical threats on school grounds to cybercrime, white-collar fraud, and the challenges students and staff encounter when they travel or move through the broader community, the threat environment is wide and constantly evolving.

This session provides a clear, practical overview of how these risks develop, how small gaps in awareness or preparation can compound into serious incidents, and how early intervention changes outcomes. Participants will leave with a stronger foundation in situational awareness — learning to read environments, assess the behavior of individuals they encounter, and apply sound digital and cyber safety practices, and travel safety as part of a unified, coordinated approach to school safety. The goal is straightforward: reduce exposure, improve response, and deliver training that protects both people and the institutions responsible for them — on campus and off.
