Understanding your true cost per camper is one of the most powerful—and most overlooked—drivers of a successful auxiliary program. In this session, we’ll unpack what “cost per camper” really means, why it matters, and how it directly impacts pricing, staffing, and long-term sustainability.

Using real-world examples, we’ll demonstrate how staffing patterns, program design, and camper movement throughout the day influence your true costs in ways that traditional budgeting often misses. Participants will gain insight into how to begin building a more accurate financial picture of their programs, even in complex, multi-offering environments.
This session will provide practical frameworks and starting points to help directors move from estimation to informed decision-making—ultimately strengthening both program quality and financial performance.
