2026 SPARC National Conference

Katie Peterson is the Director of Auxiliary Programs at Breck School in Golden Valley, Minnesota. In her role, she oversees a wide range of programs and services including Summer Programs, Extended Day, After School Enrichment, Private Music Lessons, the Campus Store, Facility Rentals, and Transportation. Katie’s journey with Breck Summer Programs began in 2006 when she worked as a counselor while in college. She officially joined the Breck community full time in 2010 as a Lower School faculty member, teaching first grade. In 2012, she transitioned into leadership as Director of Summer Programs and Extended Day, and in 2022, her role expanded to Director of Auxiliary Programs, where she continues to oversee and grow Breck’s wide-ranging offerings.Beyond her work at Breck, Katie is active in the broader independent school and auxiliary programming community. She has served on the SPARC National Conference planning committee and has presented at both the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) and the National Business Officers Association (NBOA).Outside of work, Katie enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys going on long walks, cooking and boating. She loves being outdoors and feels most at home at her family cabin or relaxing on her backyard patio listening to music while sharing a meal with neighbors, family members and friends.
