About me
I serve as the Director of Summer Programming at Spartanburg Day School in Spartanburg, South Carolina, where I build and operate Camp Griffin throughout the year and lead our nine-week summer season serving children from age 2 through rising 9th grade. I place a heavy focus on creating memorable, intentional experiences for campers, students, and families. These are experiences that build connection, encourage exploration, and bring our school's mission of Learning Lived beyond the traditional classroom.
My background spans auxiliary programming, foodservice operations, event management, marketing and digital media. I have also owned and operated my own foodservice business, Sansbury Foods, for the past 14 years. I studied Culinary Arts and Events Management at Johnson & Wales University in Charleston, South Carolina.
I am passionate about building programs that strengthen school communities, create opportunities for meaningful engagement and leave families with experiences they remember long after an event or program ends. I especially enjoy finding creative ways to grow programs while maintaining the relationships and sense of community that make them successful.
Outside of work, travel is my greatest passion! I love exploring the world with my husband and children. Our adventures continually inspire the experiences and ideas I bring back to my work.
